DESCRIPTION:The City of Coeur d'Alene is looking for help for their 2nd Annual PARK(ing) on Sherman Event that take place on Friday\, September 16th at the 1200 block of Sherman.\n\nIf you would like to volunteer during the event or donate materials/money to help\, please contact Tami Stroud\, tstroud@cdaid.org\, (208) 666-5740.\n\n\n\nThey would like assistance with the following:\n\n"PERMANENT IMPROVEMENTS":\n\n	Build benches with planter boxes for Sherman Avenue in front of Lakeside Harvest Foods and possibly Roger's (see photos below)\n	\n		Need materials donated (wood\, screws\, nails\, pots to insert into planters)\n		Need soil and plants\n	\n	\n	Build a pergola at 1210 Tavern or Rogers\n	Tile Mosaic on Liquor Store's western exterior wall\n\n"TEMPORARY IMPROVEMENTS"\n\n\n	Build a fake and temporary RRFB (rectangular rapid flashing beacon) with flashing light and push button   work with Tim Martin and Streets Dept   signage with QR code to take people to crowdfunding page to help fund the purchase of RRFBs for 9th Street\, 13th Street and 21st Street pedestrian crossings\n\nVOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE EVENT\n\n\n	Distribute posters and postcards to local businesses along Sherman Ave. in advance of event\n	Assist with setting up PARK(ing) IT ON SHERMAN event on Sept. 16th\n	\n		Pick up flower baskets from Downtown Association\n		Plant flowers and plants in planter boxes\n		Help hang event banner and signage for the event\n		Help move picnic tables onto street in front of Rodgers\n		Help set up lawn games in pocket park\n		Help set up bike racks\n		Hang string lights\n		Distribute garbage cans/recycling bins throughout event site
